Marston’s House

Panoramanew

We have worked in close collaboration with Marston's for many years

In that time, they have built and refurbished hundreds of pubs. In 2014 they decided to bring their own H.Q. ‘up to scratch’ and we were happy to help.

The Challenge

Marston’s have been on the same site in Wolverhampton for 140 years and in 2015 work started on the redevelopment of their 1960’s office block, home to 500 staff. The project was a mix of demolition, refurbishment and extension. Of course amongst all this, the ‘show must go on’ and service levels and efficiency cannot drop in such a customer focused business. The staff moved out to nearby Coniston House but one of the challenges for us as mechanical and electrical designers was to move the main data servers to a different location within the existing building but with no impact on day to day activity. We also replaced the gas fired boilers and radiators with energy efficient VRF heating and cooling systems and, delivered full new interior and exterior lighting design.
